1. Overview

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Akariq website (akariq.com) and the purchase of eSIM data plans through our platform. By placing an order, you agree to these Terms.

Akariq sells prepaid eSIM data plans for travelers. We are not a mobile network operator.

2. Eligibility

  • You must be at least 16 years old to use Akariq.
  • You must have a device that supports eSIM technology. Check our compatibility page to verify.
  • You are responsible for ensuring eSIM service is available in your destination country.

3. How It Works

  1. Browse — Select a destination country or region and choose a data plan.
  2. Purchase — Pay via Stripe Checkout using a supported payment method. All prices are in USD.
  3. Receive — Your eSIM QR code and activation instructions are displayed on the confirmation page and sent to your email.
  4. Activate — Scan the QR code or tap the activation link to install the eSIM on your device.

4. Pricing and Currency

  • All charges are processed in US Dollars (USD).
  • Prices shown in other currencies are approximate conversions for display purposes only. The actual charge on your payment method will be in USD, and your bank may apply its own exchange rate and fees.
  • Prices may change at any time. The price shown at checkout is the price you pay.

5. Payment

  • Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your payment details.
  • By completing a purchase, you authorize us to charge your payment method for the total amount shown at checkout.
  • If payment fails or is declined, no eSIM will be provisioned.

6. eSIM Delivery and Activation

  • eSIMs are delivered digitally. There is no physical product.
  • Most eSIMs are provisioned instantly after payment. Some may take up to a few minutes.
  • You are responsible for installing and activating the eSIM before traveling. We recommend doing this while connected to Wi-Fi.
  • Each eSIM QR code can only be scanned and installed once. Do not delete the eSIM profile from your device unless you no longer need it.

7. Data Plans and Usage

  • Prepaid plans — include a fixed amount of data (e.g., 5 GB) valid for a set period (e.g., 30 days). Unused data expires at the end of the validity period.
  • Unlimited plans — provide a daily data allowance at full speed, after which speeds may be reduced per the plan's fair use policy. The plan is valid for the stated number of days.
  • Data usage begins when you first connect to a mobile network in the destination country, or upon installation (depending on the plan's activation type).
  • We are not responsible for network coverage, speed, or availability in any specific location. Coverage depends on the local carrier networks.

8. Refunds

  • Provisioning failure — if your eSIM cannot be provisioned within 30 minutes of payment, we automatically initiate a full refund.
  • After delivery — once payment is processed and the eSIM is delivered, no refunds are available. eSIM data plans are activated immediately upon delivery and cannot be reversed.
  • We do not offer refunds for unused data, early expiration, or partial usage.

9. Top-Ups

  • Some eSIM plans support data top-ups. This is indicated on the plan details.
  • Top-up packages are purchased separately and are non-refundable once applied.
  • Top-ups can only be applied to an active, installed eSIM.

10. Prohibited Use

You agree not to:

  • Resell eSIM plans purchased from Akariq.
  • Use our service for any unlawful purpose.
  • Attempt to circumvent fair use policies or abuse unlimited data plans.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the operation of our website.

11. Intellectual Property

The Akariq name, logo, website design, and content are the property of Akariq. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.

12. Limitation of Liability

  • Akariq is not a telecommunications provider. We do not guarantee network availability, speed, or coverage.
  • Our liability is limited to the purchase price of the eSIM plan. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages including but not limited to lost business, travel disruptions, or roaming charges incurred due to eSIM issues.
  • We are not responsible for issues caused by device incompatibility, incorrect installation, or carrier restrictions.

13. Disclaimer

eSIM plans are provided "as is". We make no warranties regarding uptime, speed, or coverage beyond what is stated in the plan description. Network performance depends on local carriers and conditions outside our control.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of Akariq after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the European Union. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of the applicable EU member state.
