The other Society Islands — Huahine, Raiatea, Taha'a, and Maupiti — have basic Vini coverage in village areas. The Tuamotu atolls (Rangiroa, Fakarava, Tikehau) have very limited coverage in their small settlements.

The Marquesas Islands — Nuku Hiva, Hiva Oa — are extremely remote, accessible by Air Tahiti and the Aranui cargo-passenger ship. Basic coverage exists in main village areas. Paul Gauguin died and is buried on Hiva Oa — a significant cultural pilgrimage destination.

Bora Bora's lagoon and the overwater bungalow resorts are among the world's most iconic destinations. The main island road has coverage; the outer motu (small reef islets) where most overwater bungalows are located have variable coverage depending on how far from the main island they sit.

French Polynesia uses the CFP franc (XPF), not the Euro. Credit cards are widely accepted at resorts. Inter-island flight bookings require advance planning — Air Tahiti capacity is limited and routes book out months ahead.
