Vodafone's 4G/5G covers Muscat, Salalah, Nizwa, Sur, Sohar, and the main inter-city highways. The Wahiba Sands (Sharqiya Sands) — the iconic orange dune sea — has coverage at the main Bedouin camp areas on the northern fringe. The deep desert interior has no coverage.

The Hajar Mountains — Jebel Akhdar (the 'Green Mountain', 2,980m), Jebel Shams (the 'Grand Canyon of Oman', 3,009m), and the Wadi Ghul gorge — have coverage in the villages. The rim walk at Jebel Shams has coverage at the starting point. Higher elevations have variable signal.

Salalah in Dhofar governorate — particularly compelling during the khareef (monsoon season, June–September) when the Arabian coast turns green — has full Vodafone coverage. The frankincense trees at Wadi Dawkah (UNESCO) are accessible from Salalah with full coverage.
